Library Survey 2010

Thank you to everyone who took part in the recent library survey.




We have carefully considered your comments and requests and have emailed our responses to you. They are also available on the library homepage for a limited time, along with a summary of the survey (see '2010 Survey: Summary / Responses').

We would like to encourage you to book for a tutorial if you experience any problems accessing online journals. If you would like to book for a tutorial, please email us or come and see us in the library.

We have a follow-up question which we have emailed to you; it's on booking PCs, please check your emails for the link.

The lucky winners of the Spine Centre vouchers have also been announced - congratulations to you!

Information Skills Tutorials for Year 1 & Extended Year

As promised at Induction we are running Information Skills Tutorials to help you find high quality chiropractic / medical information.

We will hold sessions on the following dates:

Wednesday 21st October 2pm & 3pm

Tuesday 27th October 2pm & 3pm

Wednesday 28th October 2pm & 3pm

These will be 1 hour sessions and we will meet in the Cal Lab (Old Clinic). There is a limit of 10 places per session. If you would like to attend one of these, please sign up at the library desk.

If you can't make these dates and would like a tutorial please let us know and we will arrange a separate one for you.

Excellent Study Skills website: LearnHigher – Excellence in Learning Development

The LearnHigher Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) is a partnership of 16 Universities, led by Liverpool Hope University, committed to improving student learning through providing excellent resources to support students' learning development, and through practice-led research to inform the effective use of those resources. Their resources, in 20 Learning Areas, are freely available to all.

They will be 1 hour sessions in the CAL lab, and will start on Wednesday 11th February at 2.00pm.

If there is sufficient demand, we will offer these every day during reading week.

There is a limit of 10 places on each session.
